We took a picnic trip to Meridian Hill park

You rode patiently in your stroller, despite an otherwise overwhelming urge to walk.

These ladies were swapping gossip and listening to the drums.

This kid's drum was almost as big as he was!

 

This lady was a great dancer.

...As was this lady, with her shoes off and a bouquet of flowers.

You played with the other kids, running around the horse.

Then snuggled with Daddy.

You desperately wanted to go play soccer with the grown ups, but agreed to wait until you got bigger.

Then we went home. It was a good Sunday.
